Your comforters and pillows are made
from all natural products. The less you have to clean them, the better
it will perform and the longer 
it
will last. One of the easiest ways to minimize the need to clean these
products is to use a duvet cover for your comforter or a pillow protector
for your pillow.
No matter how careful you are, there may be times that you will have to wash the comforter or pillow. One method is to take the product to a reputable dry cleaner. We recommend a cleaner that uses the Sanitone cleaning process.
The other method of cleaning is to machine wash the item. For larger comforters, or overfilled comforters, you may have to go to a Laundromat that has oversized washing machines. Spot treat any areas that require it. Then wash the comforter or pillow in cold water using Dawn dishwashing detergent. Be careful, you only need a small amount. Dawn is a degreaser that will remove any body oils that have accumulated on the fill, yet it is mild enough that is won't hurt the fabric.
After washing, gently squeeze out the excess moisture and place in the dryer. Do not use any fabric softeners; this will coat the down and prevent it from returning to it's original loft. Set your dryer on it's lowest heat setting (this is to protect the cotton shell) and place a tennis ball, or similar item, to agitate the fill. You may have to re-position the comforter in the dryer as it begins to dry. It is very important that you dry your comforter or pillow thoroughly, otherwise it may mildew.
