Crypton fabric is a very interesting fabric. It is produced by a special patented process wherein the fibers are encapsulated and tightly woven. This fabric resists spills, liquids, stains, and bacteria, yet the fabric can still breathe. Even with these special properties, Crypton fabric can still be manufactured with a surface that resembles velvet, corduroy, or just about any other surface treatment you can imagine. With Crypton you can upholster chairs, sofas, car seats, etc. but unlike vinyl, it is not hot, clammy, or sweaty. It is often used for hospital bedsheets, pet beds, etc.
